Expanded Multi MID Support for CloudPOS with PIN pad
This update extends Multi MID (Merchant ID) support to merchants using CloudPOS with an external PIN pad. Previously available only on SPIn or standalone terminal setups, this enhancement allows merchants to seamlessly switch between multiple MIDs during a transaction initiated from the CloudPOS interface.
Feature Compatibility
-
Required POS Build: 10130 and above
-
Supported Processors: Not Applicable
-
Supported Fee Types: Not Applicable
What’s New?
-
CloudPOS configurations with PIN pad devices can now route transactions to the correct Merchant ID (Linked to the TPN) as selected by the user.
-
Transactions are processed using the selected MID, while all device communication still flows through the primary TPN (Terminal Profile Number).
-
No changes required on the hardware side—just configure Multi MID at the portal level.
-
Works for all supported processors with Multi MID capabilities.
-
Each store’s transactions remain isolated and accessible only by that store’s merchant credentials. This ensures secure, role-based access even when multiple MIDs are managed in one system.
Key Benefits:
-
Simplifies transaction routing for merchants operating across multiple business entities.
-
Eliminates the need to log in and out or swap hardware to change MIDs.
-
Improves transaction-level reconciliation and reporting accuracy.
