Bringing VISA CEDP Support on iPOSpays
The Visa Commercial Enhanced Data Program (CEDP) enables merchants to submit invoice-quality, Level 3 line-item transaction data along with the payment authorization for commercial card transactions. This data includes line items, taxes, quantities, invoice or purchase order numbers, and other purchase-level details that are validated under Visa CEDP requirements.
Dejavoo provides multiple CEDP-enabled solutions to help ISOs, ISVs, and merchants meet Visa CEDP data requirements. This allows those who submit complete and accurate enhanced data to qualify for preferred commercial interchange rates. Conversely, incomplete or inaccurate data may result in downgrades to interchange.
Key Rules & Requirements – CEDP Opt-In & Eligibility
-
ISOs must coordinate with their processor to enroll merchants in the Visa Commercial Enhanced Data Program (CEDP), typically at an acquirer cost of approximately 5 basis points (bps).
-
CEDP applies only to Visa commercial card transactions. For Mastercard, simply submitting the data is sufficient; opting it at the processor level is not required.
-
Visa will validate the data for 500 consecutive transactions or 20 calendar days, whichever occurs first. Based on this validation, a merchant may be marked as Verified. Even after a merchant is verified, Visa will continue to monitor data quality on an ongoing basis. Merchants should check with their processor after the evaluation period to confirm whether the merchant has achieved Verified status, as interchange benefits will begin only after verification is confirmed.

Our Solutions
1. CEDP Basic
CEDP Basic is the entry-level version of the Visa CEDP program. It allows ISOs to pre-select and report one level 3 line item and one commodity code per transaction, making it ideal for simple businesses that sell a single product or service category. This can be preselected and is applicable to all types of transactions on iPOSpays, including payment terminals, virtual terminals, Tap to Pay, API transactions, and more.
2. Register Lite
Register Lite offers a built-in register experience, enabling merchants to manage inventory, pricing, and taxes directly from the terminal. It helps capture itemized level 3 transaction data automatically for Visa CEDP reporting, simplifying checkout management.
3. APIs & SDKs
We support ISVs and third-party software to send Level 3 / Visa CEDP data. For eligible cards, iPOSpays transmits this enhanced data to the processor. This capability is supported across all APIs listed below:
-
SPIn - Our semi-integration solution
-
iPOS Transact API - Our transaction API using tokenized cards
-
DvPayLite Deep Linking Integration – Deep Linking via Android Intents
-
Hosted Payment Page (HPP) API – Secure, ready-to-use checkout page
-
Freedom to Design – JavaScript framework for fully customizable, PCI-compliant checkout
